Taringa is known as Spain's largest social network and is considered to be a rival to Facebook in Spain.

RIF Token is a proprietary token issued by RSK Infrastructure Framework, a virtual currency project. The media reported that RSK's acquisition of Taringa may be due to the emergence of plans to integrate RIF tokens on the Taringa platform.
