There was one big story released today by the Fuse Team. Today they announced their collaboration and partnership with Kolektivo Labs, a Curacaoan innovation hub composed of social impact leaders and entrepreneurs. Over the past few years, this collective group has been using blockchain to build the infrastructure and tools needed to create a prosperous future for the people of Curaçao.
CuraDao was launched in 2019 in order to provide incentives and empower the people to take action in a decentralized, non-hierarchical manner. Through CuraDAO, the community has delegated beach cleanup efforts and even organized the delivery of computer equipment to a low-income school in the city of Barber.
Now, they have moved towards the next step, implementing a decentralized currency for the betterment of the people of the nation. CuraDai was introduced as a stable coin tied to the local Antillian Guilder at a 1:1 exchange allowing people to be educated on how crypto and the blockchain can keep funding local.
Now, Fuse is looking to expand the reach of both the CuraDao and CuraDai Stablecoin by listing CuraDai on FuseSwap coming in the near future. Here is a quote from the co-founder of Kolektivo Labs, Luuk Weber: “With a community currency attached to it, CuraDAO started to evolve into more than just a coordination hub — it started to become an economy. Fuse’s focus and expertise in the area of building sustainable micro-economies made it the ideal platform to scale the project”.
Let’s make sure to support CuraDai with GoodDollars as soon as it gets listed on the exchange! More decentralized projects that Fuse takes on, the more of an impact they will have. This also opens up the opportunity for Curacaoan GoodDollar users to directly swap into CuraDai once it goes live on the platform, and would likely allow these users to be the first to “directly cash out”. This is a big step forward for all three communities, and if we can work in harmony, maybe we can contribute to making CuraDai a success for the people of Curacao.

So now it's time for the Financial Data from the previous 24 hours. These details can be found over at info.fuseswap.com. Once you are on the site, just select GoodDollar from the list of swappable coins and tokens.
The price of GoodDollar fell from 0.000255 down to 0.000251 by 1000 CST for a total percentage loss of 3.34%. Liquidity ended the day down at $12,170 a difference of 2.61% from a total of $12,280 on Wednesday. Volume ran off a cliff today losing 64.35% to come in at a total of only $738.37. Transaction Percentage Change was negative today at a total of -24.86% from the previous 24 hour period.
The price for the Fuse token at 1000 CST was $0.1562 up 7.35% from yesterday’s price of $0.1455 on the 16th of February.
Now let's see how GoodDollar fared against FuseSwap's supported stablecoins as compared to the day prior.
G$/DAI G$4,070 from G$3,848 yesterday
G$/USDC G$4,068 from G$4,000 yesterday
G$/Tether G$4,092 from G$3,875 yesterday
This gives us an average of G$/USD at G$4,076 from G$3,907 yesterday losing a total of 4.33% in value versus stable coins.
Another paring that we will be following is GoodDollar/Fuse. Yesterday G$/FUSE was at 674.78 today we sit at 686.76. It sits at just a 1.77% change from yesterday.
Overall we saw market stabilization happen, along with individual trading comes the AMM to even out the Stable Coin value. We finally have a value we can tell people pretty confidently now. It takes just a little over or under G$4,000 to make one US Dollar. We also saw Fuse gain a bit of value helping the overall blockchain yesterday.

Main Story of the Day
So our main story for Thursday the 18th of February 2021, has to be the interview that GoodDollar Org’s Anna Stone gave to Richard Carthon over on the Crypto Currents Podcast. I will provide the link to the show, down below.
Just as a disclaimer, what I am about to say is my personal opinion, and my take on how GoodDollar is going to move into the future. I have not cleared this with the GoodDollar Organization or Anna, and the opinions from here on out are my own and not necessarily those of anyone involved. I just feel like it’s important to let you guys know what I believe and how it influences how I look at the project going into the future.
So I really want to break down the intro to the interview because I believe, like so many others that have come to GoodDollar, crypto, and ultimately decentralized finance because of the realization that either: national governments cannot or should not have a materially impactful influence on working people’s or poor people’s lives and livelihoods.
Just for clarification; I believe that if you have a truly representative government that actually pushes forward policies that you support then you are quite lucky. I believe the rest of us, especially those of us in Western nations, have few options left other than going outside of the system. This is where GoodDollar comes in. I would love for the federal Canadian government to put forward a comprehensive UBI package that would be as inclusive as GoodDollar is, and I still fight for that outside of this show, the thing is, we HAVE GoodDollar now, and in my opinion, it may be one of the most important finance projects in the next decade. Back to the interview.
Anna’s introduction very much reminds me of the stories I heard early on while involved with the Andrew Yang Presidential run. She worked for non-profits trying to make a better world, only to realize that the impact that she was having was, less than the targeted impact she wanted to have. She discovered Bitcoin and Ethereum and got hooked on the idea of improving people’s material conditions through the use of blockchain technologies. She would eventually join GoodDollar as the To-Market Lead and from there we get this interview.
To me, it is interesting seeing people’s ideological perspectives in the interviews they do and this one is no exception. To me, it is clear that Anna wants this project to succeed because of the good it will do in real people’s lives all over the world. That’s one other thing that goes in favour of GoodDollar over a state-operated UBI. As far as we’re concerned. GoodDollar will always be there, it may go up or down in value, but it will always be claimable and will always have value regardless of what a specific government does. In contrast, lets assume Canada implements a basic income due to the pandemic. What happens when we get through this? Or when a different government comes to power? It’s happened twice in Canada over the past 40 years, where we get a pilot UBI project and then it immediately gets shut down when the new government takes over. To me GoodDollar is the ultimate solution for inequality, for ending or reducing homelessness worldwide, and potentially ending poverty as we know it today. GoodDollar is simply a non-revokable, non-regional basic income, and we should all be fighting like hell to keep this project moving forward.
I’ve been asked, why do you do 7+ shows a week? My answer is simple. Any amount of effort or time I have to put in now, is potentially less time other people will have to commit to solving some of these same issues in the future. Together as a community, we can literally change the world for who knows how many people, all I know is that I am willing to put in the time and effort to see this into the future and to widespread success.
