Call of Duty COD Modern Warfare 3 MW3 Ranked Play Season 3 - You don't need to be good to rank up!

So i have recently got into playing Ranked play on MW3 and have realise that you don't need to be the best player or get the most kills to rank up and move up the levels.

I die a lot in ranked but focus on capping the objectives and i end up winning more matches than i lose.

In the end my KDR looks terrible, but winning ranks me up and that's a win.

Thoughts? I'm grinding to Gold.
