Maybe because my brain is 2 sizes too small, or maybe because every time I try to get going off the gassy ETH chain I get sneak-attacked by KYC hostage-taking or told by some bot somewhere that I don't know what a parking meter is... Or maybe because I don't truly understand the Zen of Naming Every Coin or Exchange After Food or Animals... Or, well, whatever the reason, I keep going back to the simpler world, the simpler times of just clicking like a monkey on faucets. At least I make progress and no exchange is demanding that I upload selfies of myself with copies of my birth certificate, proof of virginity, my most recent COVID test, and my grandmother spelling out my name in time-lapse sparkler drawings.
Yes, faucets. The low-hanging fruit of Cryptoworld. If you mention them around the wrong experts, you will be called some form of "tard" or have the F-bomb attached to your name. It is like admitting that you still watch re-runs of The West Wing or some other show that portrayed a simpler world where powerful people were competent and cared about serving the broader interest. Bah-hahahahaahah! I m a tard!
Faucets offer you a straightforward trade that I find so appealing. Click this silly thing and we give you a tiny bit of crypto. That's it.
To my mind, RollerCoin has mastered the nostalgic desire for simpler times. In fact, it is like looking at an old Colecovision gaming console (Colecovision anyone? Anyone? Bueller?). There are essentially two ideas at work in RollerCoin. First, people like to mine cryptocurrency without needing to own a hydroelectric powered ice cave in Svalbard. Second, people like to play games for rewards. I will break down these two parts and walk you through how to maximize each part to create a steady stream of Crypto. OK, stream might be a bit strong of a word, so here is how to create a steady Drip of Crypto.
Mining Crypto
Mining is a very cool idea, and even I have gotten in on the act. I have a gaming laptop providing cloud mining (described in my post here) and I am folding proteins in the name of Banano crypto with the ancient laptop I'm using right now! In the first case, I am making about $60 worth of BTC per month and *almost* starting my office on fire and melting my brand new laptop. In the second case, I am helping science understand proteins better, including COVID-19) while simultaneously making my laptop fan run constantly, slow any program I open to a crawl, and force hard powerdowns about every other time I try to put my computer to sleep or shut it down. But at least I have earned $0.50 worth of Banano. Oddly, that feels both good and underwhelming.
All that is to say that mining is not as exciting in real life (even my lazy idiot version) as it seems in the movies. But the concept of mining is awesome! Your computer makes you money while you do nothing (other than extinguish laptop fires, I guess)!
RollerCoin wants to create a virtual mining experience for you. The point of the RollerCoin site is to build up the hashrate of your simulated mining rig by adding Hertz. The easiest, most straightforward, and fool-proof way to do this is to buy one of their virtual mining units. Warning - this will be an investment of crypto! I normally am most excited about free-for-free, but there are often advantages to putting some actual monetary value to work. It is totally up to you of course. But if you want to buy one of their rigs, you get a permanent mining rate. No need to keep it charged by playing games. You can buy these rigs using either BTC Satoshi or the native currency RLT.
Here is a look at the current offerings:

You can see that there are holiday-themed models that offer pretty high mining rates, models on sale, and models that you can buy with either Satoshi or RLT. Right now, it costs about 2100 Satoshi to buy 1 RLT. There is a roadmap to make RLT a more important currency by launching it on the Ethereum blockchain. With gas prices the way they are, you can imagine this is taking some time to do.
Playing Games
What if you really are a free-for-free fanatic? Gain you earn on RollerCoin without investing a single Satoshi? Yep!! You can earn by playing quick retro games. These are not Call of Duty: Cold War style games. RollerCoin also is not set up to offer you points for downloading 3rd party apps from the App or Play store. Instead, there are in-house games. I think that is kind of nice - you can earn within the RollerCoin ecosystem without downloading potentially sketchy apps. But, the tradeoff is that these are much simpler games. Still fun, IMO.
Here is a screenshot to give you a flavor of what I mean:

I have fallen out of my habit of playing because I have been a little too busy with other stuff, so my Level in the games I like is lower than usual. I have found I am the best at the middle stack, and normally will be around Level 5-6 with Token Blaster, Level 8-9 with Coin-Match, and Level 10 with Coin-Flip. Coin-Flip is a memory game and at Level 10 seems to add the most mining power when you win.
It is pretty straightforward. You start the game, and as you win, you do two things: 1. build the number of days your mining rig will work without you checking in on it (up to 7) and 2. add to the Hertz of mining power you have, which directly influences how much crypto you mine. I am currently mining BTC, but you also can mine ETH or DOGE.
My "How To" Tips
If you want to get going quickly and steadily, it is a great time to buy their mining rigs. New models available and discounts on older ones.
If you want free-for-free, try all the games a couple of times. Each game needs to recharge between playing, so it is good to identify the 2 or 3 you like best or are most successful at. Then play those as much as you can in the first day. Get your game level and mining level high. Both game and mining level decay over time, so if you are going the free-for-free route, know that it the payoff is greatest if you keep returning and keep playing.
That's it! When I'm waiting for stuff to upload or for frigging CAPTCHA to decide if I am human, I play a little and add to my mining power.
When can you enjoy the fruits of your playing or mining purchases?
Minimum withdrawal levels are as follows:
BTC = .0001, with FREE withdrawal
ETH = .008, with FREE withdrawal, but you will need to pay ETH network fees, aka gas, so you might be best waiting.
DOGE =360.00 with FREE withdrawal

I would enthusiastically invite you to sign up for RollerCoin using my referral link. Then use my tips here to create a steady little drip of BTC, ETH, or DOGE. I don't see a downside to free crypto, do you?

Maybe hamster mascots scare you or even virtual mining sounds like too much manual labor. You can try these other faucet sites I have tested out:
The Hot list of referral links I am most excited about: Cointiply, BetFury
The Maybe! list of referral links that you might enjoy even if the payout is not so great: FreeBitco.in (if you build your own referral base), DutchyCorp, and Pipeflare.
