Oooooh... months like this coming October 2022 drop really make it worthwhile to be a Humble Bundle subscriber! There are many months with deecnt enough drops, and the rare few that don't have that much of interest... but once every now and then, you get one with a triple-A game and a bunch of really top class or interesting ones!
Leading up the package this coming month is the phenomenal sounding Deathloop, by the makers of Dishonoured. Wow, I have really been wanting to try this game out for quite some time... but I've really kept an eye on my Steam backlog and done the right thing, and waited. I've even waited out the moments when it was on sale! Tough test of commitment and nerves there! Anyway, I'm glad I did... even triple-A games do end up dropping on the Humble Bundle subs eventually, and this just did! It has been described as Dishonoured in a time loop... but recently, the game developers confirmed that it DOES exist in a far-future version of Dishonoured, so an extension of the narrative! I LOVE it when story-tellers do that! Another franchise that does the same is the Endless series!
Monster Train is a roguelike deck-builder... a genre that is always good for a light play whilst travelling... and something that I do quite enjoy. In Monster Train, you are the last demon defending the last eternal fire of Hell from the do-gooders of Heaven... whilst on a train. Anyway, despite sounding quite quirky and strange, I have the game in my library already... and it is pretty decent! What I don't have is the DLC/expanision that comes with the First Class Collectors Edition, which is the version that has dropped... and so, I will be adding this to my collection!
The Dark Pictures: Little Hope... well, it is a horror game... and I've mentioned it before, I'm a complete wuss when it comes to horror! Even just looking at the store page gives me the creeps! I think it could well be a good game, but I will be selling this key on my store.
I've always wanted to play the Disciples series of games. To me, it looks like a more mature version of Heroes of Might and Magic... it appears to follow a similar game play formula, but it definitely looks gritter! Although my heart still lies with King's Bounty... I will give this one a go, and see if it is everything that I had hoped it to be!
Maid of Sker... I'm a chicken! Straight to the game store!
Epic Chef looks like one of those life simulators, like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley... just with better graphics and a cooking/chef angle. In fact, there are a few reviews that do already compare it to Stardew Valley... but unfavourably. I'm still tempted to claim this key for my girls though... I'm pretty sure that this is going to be one that they would like!
I remember when I was smaller, I played a Railroad Tycoon simulator sort of game... and I really loved it. The combination of railways, and an economic modelling simulation was the sort of thing to get my young nerd brain engaged! I've seen the Railroad Corporation in the Steam Store quite a few times... and I have been keen to get it, just for nostalgia... but every time, I figure that there isn't any reason to drop money on it.... and now, here it is, dropped into my lap, thanks to Humble Bundle! Thank you, my inner child is happy!
Golf Gang... wow, this looks weird. A mini-golf racing/speed runner game? Honestly, this looks like it might be a fun sort of couch/party game... but it does look to CrAZi for me... I'm boring like that. Straight to the resale store!
