D.C — Lieutenant General Scott Spellmon assured President Biden that the Keystone XL pipeline is, in fact, “not a giant waterslide.”

“There was, uh, a miscommunication, uhm, between the Army Corps of Engineers and President Biden that is, uh, uhm, now resolved,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced at yesterday’s press briefing.

According to sources in the White House, the president is reported to have asked Lt. General Spellmon why the Army Corps of Engineers would construct a “massive circular tube” that rests on metal supports and ends at a body of water if the object was anything but a waterslide. Spellmon, after a brief pause, offered an analogy of a faucet, then explained to the president that tubes are an efficient means of transporting liquid from one point to another.

The Dingo reached out to the White House, asking if the project’s cancellation was a result of this misunderstanding. We were told that the press secretary would not respond to The Dingo until next year.
