Being really enthusiast about Pi Network, as you can read on my article

I thought an update about possible value of this new crypto is necessary.

Not so many days ago, the in-app exchange test ended with the following results shared by the development team:

• A collection of honey sold for 18 Pi with shipping included.

• A digital camera sold for 65 Pi.

• A child's scooter sold for 3.5 Pi.

Based on this, can we guess the price of Pi once in the market and its capabilities?

Hard to say, since it depends on so many factors, but let's assume to do a prediction based on the aforementioned data.

My assumption is that the sold items, being a test, were not extremely valuable but rather some used/common ones.

From the first to the last one, I just picked the first items from the web which looked reasonable:

  • About 13,4$

  • About 35$

Honestly the last item was the one that made the situation harder to evaluate. But let's assume it is a really basic model, more like a plastic toy (instead of the one I posted here).

Anyway, considering what listed above, if right now Pi would be a currency to be used, we can consider it having a value of:

1 Pi = $0.75 - 1.2$ (as you can see I kinda neglected the scooter in order to try to be realistic).

Is this realistic? In these terms, does not look as anything absurd, considering it's a value similar to some major coins in the market.

Around the web I see fatalistic predictions according to which Pi price could reach more than 10$, but for the moment I prefer to lower the expectations and be reasonable.
