Every single day I rent out a varity of my most rare and powerful Splinterlands cards simply because they don't fit within any of the most important line-ups I run. the reward for doing so is hardsome and seems to me to be getting better, atleast in the more expensive card markets, seems to be going up. I only rent a single card so, I'm sure you can imagine, it's a doozy. Drumroll please!

Alric Friggin Stormbringer, in gold, at the exact level I need. Oh yeah, I rent this one for weeks at a time because it's a core piece of one of my favorite strategies: Blue Magic!
To help you get a better overall idea of the deack and some variations on it I wanted to provide you with some examples of it in action.
Here it is in ...

MirrorMIRROR - 23 Mana
As you can see the deck in a nutshell is a nice cheap tank like Spineback Turtle (Kelp Iniate can work in a pinch) and as many good magic damage dealers as you can in a lineup leaning on support. I've seen a LOT of people build this deck wrong and I'm here to teach you how to avoid the traps.
Other than Alric the best creature in the deck is Crustacean King.

You can really see the midset of the player besed on if their Blue Mage deck includes cards like this or not. A lot of peaple make an easy mistake and just play every magic creature they can and, while that can be potent, it's the support cards like this that make those ofter very vulnerable magic monsters able to get their hits in.
To be fair, it's easy to miss the king when looking at your card potions in battles like this. The main one being, well ... he just plain has the wrong damage type! With ranged damge Alric has nothing to boost but cards like CKing are really the glue that holds everything together here.
You'll see Dwarven Wizard in a lot of my line-up's because he is absolutly perfect for this deck. A lot of people underestimate the amout of survivability that a single stun creature can add to your side of the fight but when you add Medusa to the mix and are stunning two creatures a turn for 5 mana things get kinda gross. Your powerhouse here is Ruler of the Sea. The boost Alric provised pushes Ruler from dominant to downright disrespectful and it can get really fun to watch him take out entire sections of the battlefield. He pairs well with cards that speed him up for mirror matches so he can get that first strike.

Chances are if you've played much Splinterlands at all you've seen this deck. What do you like to add to the mix to give it that special personal touch? What do you run against it to stop the endless waves of Water Splinter ass-beatings?
