Greetings Gamers!

Three weeks have passed since the release of the new rewards cards in Splinterlands, lets take a look at how their value has changed.

Common Cards: 

The common cards currently have an average price of $0.11, up 22.2% from this time last week. An interesting thing happened at season end for these cards. As people were opening their season rewards chests, they were selling them at prices below their DEC burn value, meaning you could buy and burn them for an instant profit. However, holding them would have been an even better strategy. Cards were being listed and sold for as low as $0.04! I tried to get my hands on a few but was unfortunately too slow on the mouse. The lucky players who took advantage of the fire sale could sell now and more than double their investment. This is something I will be watching closely at the end of next season.   

Rare Cards: 

Rare cards are up from a last week average of $0.55 to $0.72, an increase of 30.9% making it the biggest gaining group of the week. Venari Wavesmith continues to well outperform the rest of the cards in the group, as well as all of the Epic cards from this release.  

Epic Cards:

Epic cards have risen to an average sell price of $2.25, up from $1.79. This is an increase of 25.69%. This remains the closest knit group in terms of value.  

Legendary Cards:

Finally, the legendary cards are also up from an average last week of $14.33 to $18.40 an increase of 28.4%. 

Conclusion:

An interesting week to watch with an end of season coming into play and the announcement of new in-game changes. We saw a fire sale at season end which would have doubled any buyer's investment a few short days later. And now we are seeing the new changes showing their affect on the market, as the prices are slowly rising.

My prediction for next week is that prices will continue to slightly rise as less players will now be able to receive these cards in chests and they will become less abundant as they are combined to make higher level cards. I will be using that prediction as part of my earnings strategy this week.
