Mindset and impacts on Struggling

By Amjadwaince | Opinions & Thoughts | 19 Apr 2023

Growth mindset and fixed mindset are two different approaches to learning and personal development.

A growth mindset is the belief that one's abilities and intelligence can be developed and improved over time through hard work, dedication, and perseverance. People with a growth mindset are open to challenges, embrace failure as an opportunity to learn and grow, and are willing to put in the effort to improve their skills.

On the other hand, a fixed mindset is the belief that one's abilities and intelligence are predetermined and cannot be changed. People with a fixed mindset tend to shy away from challenges, fear failure, and may give up easily when faced with obstacles.

Having a growth mindset can lead to greater success and personal fulfillment, as it allows individuals to approach challenges with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and improve. In contrast, a fixed mindset can limit one's potential and prevent them from reaching their goals.

It's important to note that mindset is not necessarily a fixed trait, and individuals can work to develop a growth mindset through deliberate effort and practice.

There are many differences in the habits of growth minded and fixed minded people. Here are some examples:

Savings

Growth minded people tend to save a higher percentage of their income than fixed minded people. They prioritize saving and investing, while fixed minded people often live paycheck to paycheck.

Investing

Growth minded people tend to invest their money in stocks, real estate, and other assets that can generate passive income. Fixed minded people may not have the resources or knowledge to invest in these types of assets.

Education

Growth minded people often prioritize education and lifelong learning. They may invest in advanced degrees, attend seminars, and read books to improve their knowledge and skills. Fixed minded people may not have the same opportunities or resources for education.

Health

Growth minded tend to prioritize their health, with regular exercise, healthy eating, and preventative healthcare. Fixed minded people may not have access to healthy food, gym memberships, or quality healthcare.

Time management

Growth minded people tend to be more productive and efficient with their time. They may use tools like time blocking, delegation, and automation to maximize their productivity. Fixed minded people may struggle with time management, leading to procrastination and wasted time.

It's important to note that these are generalizations, and there are many exceptions to these habits. However, developing good financial habits and investing in oneself can lead to greater success and financial stability over time.

  • Growth minded people have the habit of believing they create their life. Fixed minded people have the habit of believing life happens to them.
  • Growth minded people have the habit of creating goals. Fixed minded people have the habit of letting circumstances control them.
  • Growth minded people have the habit of thinking big while others have the habit of thinking small.
  • Growth minded people have the habit of focusing on opportunities but remaining have the habit of focusing on obstacles.
  • Growth minded people habitually model other wealthy and successful people and others are jealous of wealthy and successful people.
  • Broad minded people habitually sell themselves and their businesses but locked minded people think selling and promotion are prohibited.
