Holders of DFI.Money (YFII), Sonm (SNM) and Serum (SRM) on Binance need to look elsewhere soon.
Binance will initiate a pause in deposits for all trading pairs associated with the following tokens on August 22 at 03:00 UTC: (SNM)/BTC, (SNM)/BUSD, (SRM)/BUSD, and (YFII)/USDT. This is because they did not pass Binance's latest quality check, where they use a benchmark to try and keep only quality cryptos on their exchange.

Even if deposits will be suspended already next week, Binance mentioned an extended timeframe for withdrawals, allowing their users to make withdrawals until November 22 this year. After this deadline have passed, Binance reserves the right to transform these tokens into stablecoins. The press release from Binance did mention that before the conversion of delisted tokens into stablecoins happen, a notification will be issued. Any funds generated from this token conversion will appear in the holders wallets.

We have already been seeing how smaller crypto exchanges have been able to grow more and more the past months, something that many see as the effect of regulators in the US making Binance losing customers. Or maybe that is just the last straw breaking the camels back for many. What we do kow is that Binance have had a big loss when it comes to market share. We have instead seen how Huobi and KuCoin have been growing and the amount of trading bitcoin and ether have expanded. Another exchange that seems to have been taking a big hit lately is Coinbase.

It seems like what cryptocurrency traders and holders are looking after, for example anonymity and freedom of being able to move their assets as they want, does not fit that well with what regulators want to apply to the market.
