The team behind Brave just officially launched their new decentralized e-commerce platform - Brave Swag Store. The Swag Store is going to be the official supplying platform for buying official branded Brave and Basic Attention Token merchandise. In fact, the store is very much up and running, and seems to be hitting higher than just the projected starting numbers, as supporters of Brave and BAT flocked in to get their hands on at least a tiny part of the merchandise the Swag Store is offering.
The platform itself is powered by Origin and is using its new, decentralized e-commerce platform - Dshop. The Brave Swag Store seems to be further supporting the idea behind cryptocurrency - the one that the Brave team is holding up above all, in that the Swag Store is hosted on the principle of a peer to peer file distributing system which doesn't include any tracking cookes or scripts whatsoever.
Although, maybe a bit surprisingly, at the moment the only way you can pay on the website is using fiat currency. Specifically, up until this moment, it accepts cash, credit card, debit card, Pay Pal, Apple Pay and checks. Hopefully, sooner than not, we will see the option to pay in BAT added as well.
