First Time Trading On An Exchange Can Be Super Rewarding, But Beware!!

The first time using an exchanged to buy cryptocurrencies for trading is both exciting and terrifying experience and that’s just where this story begins. Every so often we hear a story of how somebody who knew someone who  knows someone who  hits the big one on the markets. One day that someone might be me but this was not going to be that day.

So last year I decided I would dabble in the art of trading cryptocurrency and make it to glory land, how hard can it be. It has been almost a year ago so I don’t even recall the first coin I bought ( probably some bitcoin ) but I do remember wondering if I just got taken and the credit would not end up at the exchange. So I waited, and not long after my initial fear of loosing my cash there it was some BTC in my account. Just waiting helplessly with no outs really put me out of my comfort zone but now we have some BTC to buy crypto and  begin trading.

My first trading day was amazing! I have finally arrived at my new side hustle!

Time to make it rich baby. On first day and my first coin traded it went  up 70%  based on my initial BTC value on the exchange in  a few short hours. I  thought maybe I have a gift or I’m a Rainman or something. Spent the night doing other things and glancing at the exchange from time to time, everything looks great. So now that I understand that I’m a master now  I let it ride and cruised off to sleep comfortable and content. When I awoke all rested from my night sleep I decided to see how much cold cash my killer trade made me today.  When I logged myself in I quickly realized that my killer trade was tanking badly. “Holy fudge! What do I do now!” So I am  now on the race to the bottom. I quickly look at the asks and bids and tossed an ask in lower than the last one to unload this loosing horse  pressed sell and sat back to relax. But not so fast buddy,  you missed the mark and it’s falling faster than I could put in  the right ask price. I finally got out that coin and lost like 30% of my BTC.  So not having any trading or crypto experience  I managed to watch my trade roll 100% swing in the wrong direction was a real wake up call ending up with 70% of BTC remaining.

So my first time working with crypto and the exchange environment was very exciting indeed but in a way I had not expected. To sum things up: be careful to not fall into the expectations of success without putting in the hard work required. I am sure I could have made off better if I had any trading talent and was aware of the volatility of this marketplace.

Just one more tip, when engaging in the sport of gambling in any form never spend what you cannot afford to lose.

That the way I roll.

Then I have no regrets.

This is my first time every publishing any of my writing, I hope it was ok, If you have any advice or comment to help improve my blogging don’t hesitate to add a comment in the section below.
