I'm earning at a rate of 1.29 tokens per hour. And this is happening on my phone... without draining my battery. Pretty sweet, eh?

All of this is true. I open an app once a day, click on a button to confirm my "security circle" and then I close the app. Boom: my phone constantly mines Pi tokens-- a new digital currency developed by Stanford PhDs-- all day long! It's really that easy.

#1: What is a "security circle"?

It's really just the groups of people who band together to mine Pi. The network is open only by invitation, and the invitees join an existing security circle. I was invited into a friend's circle, my invitees will join my circle, they will invite others to grow their own circle... and so on, and so forth.

It's pretty simple. 
The more people in your security circle, the higher your earning rate will become!

#2: What is Pi actually worth?

That's a more complicated answer! The Pi network is still in its late testnet stage (phase 2) and the value won't be set until it launches on the mainnet. But the community is over 3.5 million strong as we speak-- and excited-- so I wouldn't peg it as a fleeting shit-coin.

There are lots of speculative guesses ranging from $0.15 to $15.00 early on... but even if the low end is more accurate, the two seconds a day it takes to mine it on your phone is well worth taking the chance. If it's worth nothing at all, it won't have cost you anything!
