I keep seeing the term "RWA" everywhere now. Short for real world assets. At first I thought it was just another fancy term people use to sound smart. But then I actually looked into it, and I got why people are excited.
So what is it? Basically, it's taking real things like real estate, gold, invoices, even art, and putting them on the blockchain. So you can buy a piece of a building without buying the whole building. Or own a fraction of a gold bar. Stuff like that.
Why does this matter? Because crypto has been mostly about crypto itself for years. Tokens, coins, more tokens. But RWA connects crypto to things people actually use in real life. That's a big shift.
I remember reading about a project that tokenized a hotel in Dubai. You could buy a small share and get a cut of the rental income. I thought that was pretty cool. I didn't invest, but I liked the idea.
Of course, not everything is great. Some projects are just using the term to get attention. You have to be careful. But the ones actually doing it are interesting.
I don't know which ones will win. Nobody does. But I do think this trend is here to stay. It connects the old world with the new one. And that's usually where the big money goes.
So yeah. Keep an eye on RWA. Not financial advice. Just something I noticed.
