The RisingStar Record - Issue no. 21 - 11 January 2021 - Bye Bye Christmas, Loan Repayment, 300 Minute Missions

It's a new year and it's a good time to clear that loan before continuing to build up my Music Career - debt free is the best!

Metrics

Week 21 - Not much account progress but I have cleared about half the "loan" my music career has used which feels great.

Lets start with the basics

- Missions completed - 73 missions this week - Mission count is down is now the christmas event has ended I've been doing longer missions for the bits.

- Cards owned - No change - this means, no more Christmas Cards.....

- Starbits - 38,018 - Balance dropped yes - Music Career didn't improve, true - BUT I've paid just over 200,000 bits off on the initial amount I bought to get the Millionaire status so very happy there.

- Skill/Fans/Ego - Maintaining that buffer - which will likely shrink as I'm doing less lessons at the moment. I should note I think I forgot to take off drunken fans last month so it looks like an ego decrease this month.

- Level 77 - A level a week isn't too bad...

- Loan - A big chunk taken out of this, I'm aiming to clear it by the end of January then I'll probably start buying either individual cards or packs next.

- Rank - up a lot this week (159 spots) but this is mostly due to the "minutes played" I think as since I started doing the longer missions my "minutes played" has gone way up.

- Music Lesson - No change as no new cards.

- Illegal Busking - looks like a change but I hadnt factored in how drunken fans fit into this number so I guess I'll keep it but it'll be indicative only.

Christmas Event - Final Tally

143 Christmas Caroling events done.

2 Happy Lappy cards's

6 Ding Dong Mic's

5.6% success rate for missions. Looks like my luck was pretty bad on the event. Sad. Maybe it'll be better next time.

Current Strategy and considerations

- Quest Rotation - Millionaire/Local Minitour Support when I can or on recharge, Production Lesson if possible, Pizza & Repeat.

- Loan (Hive) - Almost half paid (funds will probably go to Splinterlands for the pack general sale to start with). Once I've cleared the loan I am not sure whether I'll go 100% reinvest into my music career or do a split of some sort to build up Hive balances to play other games with.
