7I've been busy, I've been travelling, I've been busier but it's a good time to get back into the RisingStar Record.

A lot has changed since the last post which was all the way back on 15 March - About two and a bit months ago! I've drawn out a bit from the game to put into Splinterlands and Rollercoin, I've swung back and forth on my investment/withdrawal strategy and think I've settled on 100/100 being the plan again. Continued to do missions, including the Birthday missions. I've also finally gotten all the band members unlocked and hit the third island which will be where I stay for the foreseeable future given you need to be level 200+ to complete the island and need to buy petrol cans for some of the missions!
Metrics
- Missions completed - An average of 51 Missions per week means my total is up to 3212 missions. Even while busy I did keep plugging away on whatever missions I could!
- Cards owned - I've purchased a few 12 packs and also bought a few cards on the market as well as doing the birthday quest a few times so up 196 unique cards and 465 cards in total.
- Starbits - Only 18,757 banked (excluding the starbits million) but thats because I've been withdrawing and purchasing. I used some starbits for investing into Splinterlands and Rollercoin but will go back to saving 200l, withdrawing 100k and reinvesting 100k I think.
- Skill/Fans/Ego - Sticking with a good 3k buffer between skill and ego.
- Level 93 - Still averaging about a level a week so that's not too bad.
- Rank - up to 330 - mostly due to the card packs I've purchased recently.
- Music Lesson - Up to 40-80 per production lesson - a good amount should I start getting into ego/skill problems.
- Illegal Busking - 1-360 now, though there were 2400 drunken fans inflating this.
Current Strategy and considerations
- Quest Rotation - Still doing Millionaire/Local Minitour Support when I can or on recharge, Production Lesson if possible, Pizza & Repeat - no change here though
- Withdraw/investing - the 100k/100k process where I withdraw some and reinvest some seems to feel comfortable to me so I'll continue doing that for the timebeing. I have some plans for the bits I've saved so will not do a pack this coming week but will reinvest again soon enough.
- The CryptoGaming Guild (https://peakd.com/c/hive-173060/trending) has had a discussion recently on buying cards or buying packs. As a side stat I noted that my last 12 pack gave me 1070 Fans and 1241 Skill, a guildmate got 990 Fans and 1536 skill so it varies a lot. According to https://rsgfam.com/ the cheapest costs are 62 per fan and 51 per skill. Based on my pack that would be a "value" of 66k + 64k or 130k value in fans and skill for just 100k starbits. Based on that ratio Packs are the way to go though I suspect if you cherry pick the right cards you might do better. I note that this ignores the value of luck and IM you'd get from the packs too which makes them more worthwhile. Let me know what you think!
