So continuing my journey into Cryptocurrency, and making sure I still have fun I came across the game Splinterlands. I'd dabbled in TCG games in the past and had some fun with them on mobile so thought I'd give it a shot.
First things first, feel free to just go to their website directly but if Splinterlands interests you I'd be very happy if you joined up with my referral link:

Having had enough of Rollercoin reCaptcha's and games for a while and while Betfury was auto betting dice for me for a bit I clicked on a link on Publish0x for Splinterlands and decided to look into it.
What is Splinterlands?
In their own words:
Splinterlands is a digital, collectible card game built on blockchain technology. It is similar in concept to games like Magic the Gathering and
Hearthstone where you build up a collection of cards, which all have various different stats and abilities, and use them to battle other players in
skill-based matches. By using blockchain technology, players can buy, sell, and trade their digital assets freely just as if they were physical cards,
and all transactions are recorded publicly and immutably.
So basically it is a Trading Card Game just like Magic the Gathering but based online using blockchain technology to secure the assets.
It appears to me that you don't directly earn Crypto from it but by way of earning its in game currency and cards you could trade them and eventually make some currency which is something, if I can get that far I will definitely explore.
So my initial thoughts were:
- I kinda liked TCG's in the past so it could be fun;
- It seems well made and quite popular so it seems legit;
- Maybe I can make a small amount of currency from it while having fun;
- It can be played on mobile and browser so that is always good.
Ok, so I signed up and have been playing and have been playing for three days now.
What I can tell you so far is that:
- It's quite hard to win with the basic cards.
- Notwithstanding the difficulty I've managed to complete three daily quests but the rewards so far seem lacklustre but it may take some time.
- It seems quite details and there will be a lot to learn and do!
I'll post again as I learn more about Splinterlands.
Hope you found the post interesting and that if you're interest in Splinterlands you'll give it a go (hopefully with my referral code!)
