MyCrypto is an open-source tool that generates Ether wallets and allows users to integrate it with Ethereum blockchain. The tool was launched in 2015. Taylor Monahan is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of the company. 

The wallet was created by some of the same team members behind the well-known MyEtherWallet and the wallet itself is a fork of MyEtherWallet. All of the wallet’s information is stored locally and is never in the custody of MyCrypto. 

MyCrypto was created to make it easier for users to manage their wallets and interact with blockchains. It also supports the hardware wallets Ledger Wallet and Trezor, as well as popular extension MetaMask. Features include verification and signatures, a Coinbase buy widget, contract compatibility and integration with Ethereum Name Services (ENS).

The company has raised roughly $4 million over two funding rounds, with the most recent funding round being a Series A round that occurred on August 30, 2018. Notable investors include Polychain Capital, which has invested in several other prominent cryptocurrency startups, such as Compound, Dfinity, dYdX, MakerDAO and Republic Protocol.
