Amid the ever stiff competition in the smartphone market, Samsung and HTC have waded into the blockchain arena to distinguish themselves from the pack. Taiwanese phonemaker HTC launched the HTC Exodus 1 in 2018 and is releasing a cheaper version, the HTC Exodus 1s in December 2019. Samsung has released the Galaxy s10e, s10 and s10+.
Here are the key specs, general and crypto-related TABUL8TED!

The EXODUS 1 also comes within a limited edition - EXODUS 1 - Binance Edition. On this phone, the Zion Vault crypto wallet app is integrated with the Binance DEX, allowing users to trade on the decentralized exchange on the go.
TABUL8TOR’S THOUGHTS
The main feature of these “blockchain phones” is their function as a hardware wallet where owners can store their private keys. HTC’s phones have dedicated DApps stores wheres Samsung’s don’t. HTC’s upcoming Exodus 1s also provides the possibility of operating as a full bitcoin node with the additional of a MicroSD.
Overall, it’s early days yet. But it will only be a matter of time before other giants Apple, Google and Huawei follow suit.
