Snail Story, luckily NOT a said Story

A quite lovely morning. As I’m galloping on the street I almost stepped on this little fellow. Thankfully we avoided the possible worst-case scenario. After a minuscule sigh of relief, I took a quick portrait as a memory of our little adventure together. Giving a hand to our hero, landing on the wet grass near the road we continued our ways towards our goals.

I smiled after we said goodby, and made me think again about how cruel we can be as humans and fragile at the same time as well. Let’s put aside for a moment the obvious subjects these days when we just take a glimpse in the unthinkable, the fast change in daily life. Let's say, we just agree that things happen all the time from every angle.

Our little hero remains in my head, as really slowly just glides from one point to the other. Another creature, who can teach us so much about willingness and strength. No, I’m not thinking about the mobile house - although I have to say, that's impressive in other ways - I think about the intrepidity moving forward.

Destined to be able to just slipping and creeping slowly, moving only inches an hour and arriving far nevertheless. Capable of advancing even in harsh environments and against obstacles (think about the road, the pavement how rough could be).

A lovely example of how cruel can be leaving our comfort zone, gliding on a rough surface. The easiest way would be moving backwards, resting a little bit in our good old environment. But knowing, thinking about the better satisfaction on the other side of the hard road, gives us strength and patience to move forward even when it seemed we are really slow - if there is no other option, just start gliding, you never know what is on the other side of the road if you don’t even start.

Best wishes for today, and a pleasant weekend!
