I think you became bored with me mentioning so, so many times my daily commute by train. Well, you are not alone - because I'm bored as well mentioning it (and I'm sorry - this will be the last time, I promise) but not with the scenery though...not at all. I'm willing to show you the ever-changing lights. As we reached the shorter sunny hours, the visuals became more magical in the lands these days.... I'll share with you some of my experiments during these days as I'm travelling to the office day by day...
I'm not obsessed with trains by any means, but simply I enjoy just hop on, get comfortable and carry on reading, working or just staring outside while I'm thinking. I realised that I've been lazy when it comes to writing and publishing here. I started quite some project, made some notes and I've moved one. I wasn't consistent with my ideas. So I'll try to share something more often and to make a good habit out of it.
As the ETH and BAT are falling in the past week (or let's just say, that they are before the rally ;) ) instead of thinking about the possibility of losing money on the way, I chose to make photographs on a different theme. There is always a reminder, to look to different aspects of life. Shift the frame to another composition. Smaller, everlasting ones. Or just simply trivial, like the visual play between the dirty windows of the dashing train, the moody morning atmosphere and the promising sunset. Filled with good news, warmth and shiny possibilities. This is the philosophy behind my photo experiments.
There are always grey, and melancholic days, but the light is always there. Light drives me as a photographer. The softness of the light or the harsh form of it what gives the punch to the colours, or enhance the shadows. I like how various can be all the colours at certain expositions. As we were gliding with the noisy train in the fields I can't stop but looking at the early lights from the sunrise... Cold tones, opaque forms, polarisation, sparkling rays of light. So I started to take shots along the last days - weeks to be more precise... I wanted to capture the fresh, gold colours from this angle. Also, I wanted to freeze the motion, the speed of the train adds a certain mood The smudgy windows or the textures - scratches of the surface, the dirt if you like, another layer. Edited by nature and the urban environment.
In the following days, I'll publish more, if you like this kind of photos, don't forget to mention it down, in the comments.
