Future of crypto
A lot of times I am asked philosophical questions towards, how can we be more sustainable in crypto? or how can we be resourceful while still being creative?
The answer to this topic is mostly quite broad and diverse. Anyway I recently informed myself more about Stellar Consensus Model which allows users of a such a contract form to gain consensus on specific issues.
This is really a promissing model as it allows apps to be developed on a trust base without necessarily relying on expensive machines as well as heavily harmful mining methods.
Traditional mining methods use proof of work or proof of stake concepts.
Today already some apps are built on such alternative “mining” methods.
One of the Project that definitely is on a rise currently and I believe has great potential is the Pi Network.
The Pi network allows users to “mine” pi coins using their phones, all you need to do is to log in to the app every 24h and press a button.

Mining rates do not depend on a phones core strength but rather the size of your own personal network.
It is not yet lounched on the official market and can not yet be exchanged but it will be soon. Nevertheless you can already start mining coins.
In the future I see a lot of other applications coming up as well that will use similar methods and might truly be more sustainable in terms of mining and in terms of usage.
