Interview
Recently I was looking for a new full-time job. So as any fella would do I went to a local advertisement website and searched for "jobs" without any specification. And to my surprise, there were many "no qualifications required" jobs. I opened them one by one in new tabs. Among them there were jobs for factory workers, call center executives, cashiers, bankers, clerks, airport workers, and even pharmacist jobs that required you to have no qualifications other than being more than 18 years old. I'm like you kidding right? No qualifications to become a pharmacist and no qualifications to become a banker.
CVs
I felt suspicious but I gave a call to one of the advertisements and they told me to come the next day with a CV. So the next day I went to the interview. At the start, they said they were (name of their company) and they have been working since 2010 (I don't remember the exact year). And they said they were a "JOB RECRUITMENT" company. And they use their time and effort to find jobs for other people. In my mind I was thinking huh finding jobs for others, you don't even have a job. We spend our time... More like you waste others' time. And after the introduction, they said I have to pay money in order for them to arrange me a job interview. Yes, you read it right. Pay money to get a job. I kept my composure and told them I didn't bring money today and I will come the next day with money and I left the interview. I was furious. I went looking for a job, not some middleman to find me a job.
And I went home and never returned. And the next day I started researching about them. There was not only one of those companies there were several companies like them. They had similar names. Examples Team "this" and "That" group. They were targeting school leavers mostly. Most advertisements ask for school leavers to call them. So they can take those children's parents' money. I don't know if you would hire a middleman to find a job for you. But for me, I think these are unnecessary middleman companies that suck up your money. Who knows whether you will even get a job from them? They are just collecting CVs. Most of the time, I think they will just collect a few 100s of CVs and send them to another company that actually looking for employees and they will ask for money from that company too. And that company has the full power to select new employees. Why pay money to a middleman when you can directly send your CV to the company you like to work for? Also, the employer will most likely choose the ones that have higher qualifications. Wouldn't they?
