Scammers are better at new technologies than you

Scammers adapt to new emerging tech better than you do.

Doesn't matter how you want to put it. It's a fact that scammers are better at adapting to new technologies than we are. I hate to admit it, but they are one of the earliest to adapt new tech, and they use it to their advantage. You see, when everyday normal people see new technologies, there are a few things that can happen. Some give in to the hype and waste their money on non-working prototype products. Some stay away from new tech. But when scammers see new technologies emerging they go their way to learn about them. Then they think about how they can exploit it to steal from innocent people. They adapt old tactics, or they come up with new ways to steal money. Sometimes I wonder, what if they use their mind for the greater good of society instead of scamming people? Sadly, that does not happen.

Now let's talk about a few recent technologies and how scammers used them to scam.

NFT

You see, when NFTs came out, it was in everything. Everybody talked about it. You saw it on billboards as well as in high-end music videos. It was supposed to be a money-printing machine for artists. While empowering artists and giving them what they deserve was a great thing. There were people who used this new technology to their advantage. Basically, scammers adopt NFTs to scam people.

Allegedly, scammers used influencers to promote NFTs, which were going to be used in new projects like games, and they were supposed to make you rich if you got them early enough. But we all know what happened next. Although people bought those NFTs, the project creators never delivered. In some cases, they underdelivered. Long story short, nobody bought those "game assets" from early buyers, and they lost money.

Not to mention those NFTs that were supposed to give you exclusive access to certain things that normal people would never get, turned out to be just a big flop too. Nobody cared about those exclusive secret clubs. Everybody went to places that anyone can go and had fun, but the ones who held exclusive privileges were just alone in their own private places. Sad, I know. The same thing that was supposed to make you cool was the same thing that made you uncool.

Meme Coins

Our next candidate is meme coins. Everybody knows about them. As they say in the media, they are supposed to take you to the moon. But they never did for everyday normal people. They only took the owners and their friends to the moon. They left normal people on Earth. I'm not gonna bore you with stuff like pump and dumps, You already know how they work.

Here are some other things we got fooled on...

  • Influencer promotions (Market manipulations using influencers, but they were just talking about their opinions online,)
  • Crypto mining
  • AI
  • Quantum computing? (next big thing)

Long story short:- just wait and don't give in to the hype so you won't get fooled.
