Hey! Iggy here! Today we are going to dive in, and navigate a little bit into the wonderful world of crypto games. I hope to convert this into a series of posts. But let's wait no longer. Let's go.
'TLDR'
Rollercoin is sort of crypto game where you could get some decent earnings. Just plan and adjust the approach.
Rollercoin, the online bitcoin mining simulator
Before all the NFT crazyness and Splinterlands, there was this little game I found, I believe by chance. I was looking for some way to do mining but it was too complex and I couldn't find anything that make sense to me. And then the hamster popped up. Rollercoin is, as they say, the online bitcoin mining simulator. And they were right! At the time there was only BTC. They introduce also ETH, DOGE and USDT. Now, everyone is aware of the big elephant in the room... gas fees (as usual). Fairly recent they introduced BNB, BUSD, and MATIC. Based on the blog posts, it seems that each season they will integrate a new coin and I believe that on one on the upcoming season they will also get staking features(if not, they should).
Starting the game
Once you join, if you use my referral link (below) you will get by default 1000sats (BTC). Then play some games to start mining BTC. Currently most of the hash power on the network is on mining RLT, therefore the more hash power you put into mining BTC the more you get. If more people get into the BTC mining then we will have to rethink the strategy (because, you know, more people means less rewards for you!). 
At some point you will need to get some RLTs. The reason being that miners give you automatically hash power without having to play games. So that is why people got so many miners and without them you probably won't be able to do/earn much. Also, realise that the bonus power the miners provide is quite useful. To me, the most efficient miner, and the best in the hash power/value ratio is the Chupacabra 14TH for 17RLTs (this one is a good deal).
The rest are...
Meh...
If you start looking at the big dogs/big players' room, you soon realise that they all have the same miners. Why? Because the hash power provided by some of the event related miners are buffed. Therefore they do purchase tons of them to get those buffs.
A word of advice. You need to plan and play this on the long run. This is a game. Is not a job... This will never provide you a pay-check but I will probably provide certainly some (digital) cash. You just have to check what the best players have in terms of hash power, check what is the current hash power to mine a block and multiply by the desired coin.
Technically blocks are mined every 10mins. So each day there are 144 blocks mined (24[h]*60[mins]/10[mins/block]). In a week 1008 blocks. If we approach each month to 4 weeks that is 4032 blocks. Depending on the reward per block you can guess the price per month.
"Hold on Iggy. I'm new to this whole thing. What should I do?"
Ok, let's plan. My main strategy is to play around 50 games per day and ALWAYS the same games: the ones that provide you the most of hash power.
There are currently (that you will probably need) 4 main games that provide the best results. Here's the list:
- Cryptonoid (1152)
- Crypto hamster (1015)
- Token Blaster(784)
- Lambo Rider(680)
There is cooldown time after playing some games so you will rotate playing the game. Starting with Cryptonoid, then Crypto hamster. Then Cryptonoid and Crypto Hamster... Once you get more cooldown, you introduce the third game (Token Blaster) to the equation and once you get even more cooldown between games you can add the last one. Also the game difficulty will increase from time to time but also the Hash power you get for playing the game. As an example at level 8 of Cryptonoid you get almost 2000 of hash power (pts) or 2 Tera hashes of power which is great.
50 games could provide you more than 50 Th/s so do so for a week you get around 350 Th/s. Currently at 268 Th/s you get 0.5 satoshis per block so doing some calculations this means that you get around 72 satoshis per day. Woohoo!
"What is this computer doing on my desk?"
The computer is there to allow you to store the power for a specific amount of time. At Level 1, the power is held for 1 day. At level 2, 3 days.
Level 3 it's help for 5 days. Level 4 (last one) the power is help for a week (7 days). But be careful! You need at least to play a game to maintain the level of the computer. Otherwise it will go back to level 1. In order to level up your computer and be able to hold power longer you need to... you guessed it! Play games. Let's indicate the amount you need to play to level up
Level 1 to Level 2: 10 games
Level 2 to Level 3: 30 games
Level 3 to Level 4: 50 games
Yes, in one day you need to play 80 games. I suggest to play 50, and by the second day you will get the last level.
"Season pass worth it? Should I buy it?"
We are already on the 3rd season and I haven't purchased any of them. I am a free2play account. I have not invested any money on it. I'm just grinding it and trying to unlock the best strategies and plans to get a decent return. Season pass could actually be beneficial but investing $100 for some miners in my opinion is not worth it. The hash power you get from those miners combined does not get to a point where you can recover quickly that investment. I think probably you are looking at minimum 3 months. To me, that is not worth it. Sometimes they give some RTLs but in order to get them you need to reach that level during the Season. So if you are starting, to me, the best is to get the all the freebies or at least most of them. Once we reach whale level, I guess it should be fine. 😂

So there you go. I will still keep an eye on Rollercoin as the next season is supposed to bring the marketplace so it could be really interesting. I hope this share some lights regarding this particular game.
