*** THe Chaos Knight is a very cool card and I am glad they featured it. I love this tank even if it is a little weak versus magic. I will talk more in the review of the card. Make sure you check out the Challenge here if you want to take part in this. I know a lot of people might overlook this card but this week we will show you why it is good for some games.

Card Review

I pictured the card at level 3 because that is what I have right now. It is a great level to move the card to because it gets an extra life and speed. But the reason this card is good right away is Shield at level one. Not many monsters have that only Living Lava comes to mind and in bronze that can protect you from a lot of hits. It makes it so some monsters are unable to even do damage. Add on the 3 armor and now even if you can hurt this monster it only takes away one armor. Now level 4 is a nice boost and I want it soon for that extra hit point. It picks up Giant Killer at level 5 and it is the only ability on the card I don't like. The reason is the lower HP. If there are 10 cost monsters on the board good chance mana is high and we might have some mage with 4 or 5 attack. That is why adding HP to your team or having at least one silence is important with Chaos Knight. When it picks up Inspire it feels like a great first monster for a life sneak team and that's where I love it on my main but on this alt I am glad it is good in bronze and silver 3 when mages are not going to be around. Once it has that and 6 hp there is a better chance for it to last a few rounds. At low levels healing this card up is great because it is hard for people to out damage the healer.

The Line Up
2022-03-04 15_10_06-Splinterlands - Collect, Trade, Battle!.png

What a perfect match to show off this card. Fog of war and lost magic are a perfect ruleset for a shield tank and both of us thought that. In my second spot, I went for my Celestial Harpy for two reasons. It would still be able to attack with opportunity and would be an opportunity target over my other monsters. Next, I went with the Venair Crystal Smith so I would have a healer. With no mages allow it is nice to have a healer you can still put on the board and I hoped it would make it harder for them to kill my Choas Knight. THen in my last spot is the Pelacor Arbalest with Sloan and double strike that is my main attacker. Now he did set up a Living Lava with some good cards behind but those level ones might not be able to keep up. You can watch the full replay here

Round 1
2022-03-04 15_09_55-Splinterlands - Collect, Trade, Battle!.png

Okay so now you can see the sides with our summoner buffs. That extra damage is nice as both my archer will at least be able to hurt the Lava and with 2 guys at 3 attack, I can do up to 7 damage turn one. Almost enough if not for that armor. My attack order isn't great and with his speed, my Harpy is going to die before it can attack. On the bright side, his 3 attacks on my Chaos Knight are all headed for armor. The real question before it starts will anyone miss?

Round 2

No one missed and now we are looking at the round that will decide this match. Here the attack order on my side isn't the best as I will take 2 of my four attacks to kill his lava but it will die before it attacks and dude to a bit of luck his attack order is going to be worse for him. The two archers will attack first but he will leave my Chaos night at 2 health and it will become the target for the Spy. With only 2 attack he won't be able to skill my tank and then I will get my heal off and if I don't miss at all the fight will be over.

Round 3
2022-03-04 17_22_52-Window.png

I missed my last attack with the Pelacor Arbalest It won't matter because with 3 health they can't kill my Chaos Knight with its shield. They will put it at one and then I will heal it up. Had they swapped the spots on their archers they would have a tank upfront with 6 speed and flying and splash damage in the back. With a few misses, I might have lost. That was a mistake that made sure I won.

Round 4

Wow I got lucky I could have won that last round but after my Crystalsmith landed the first blow the rest of my team missed 3 attacks on the Spark Pixy. Like I said if it had been switched those pixies could have maybe stolen this game from me. THis round they will still be targeting the Chaos Knight with just 1 attack so no worries for me I Just need to land two blows to end it.

The Crystal Smith was key again landing the first blow. The Spy did doge once but then got hit and victory was mine. This fight was a perfect example of how a Shielded Tank with a healer can prevent a team from ever being able to kill the tank. It is cool that the life team got a card to give them this option in bronze. Just make sure to watch out for magic damage as it is trouble for the Chaos Knight. I am a fan of Blockchain Games as they allow users to own the items. As the projects grow some of them are going to let items be moved from one game to another. It is setting the stage for finding a great weapon that can move with you from game to game. Or finding an item that will pay for you to start up in a new game. I am also a fan of any Blockchain Project that is looking to take power away from centralized platforms that take advantage of their customers. Like Celsius and Crypto.com
