It’s kind of funny that with all the technology, different social media platforms out there, and so on, email is still one of the most powerful ways to connect with people online. The centralized nature of email makes it perfect for marketing and communicating. You never need to worry if a given company goes out of business, because as long as email servers still operate, you can still connect to most users.
And that’s why an email list is so important in marketing. It’s yours. Nobody can take it away from you. Medium could die. Another platform could take is place, and I’d lose contact with all of you wonderful readers. But if I have an email list, that will never happen.
I’ve been rather slow to admit that I need an email list, but I do. And I’m hoping that people who are reading this have found my articles interesting enough to join one. So please subscribe to the “D. Goldman Publications” email list.
How I’ll Use the List
I don’t plan on doing a daily email, at least not yet. I’ll probably start with a monthly recap of the material I’ve been writing, thoughts I’ve had, and probably also commentary on other peoples’ work that I’ve read.
