Altcoin Fantasy are holding a paper-trading contrest over 5 days in which you can win decks of Splinterlands cards. A grand total of $500 in cards is up for grabs with the first prize at 75 packs of cards. As each pack costs $2 that works out as $150. It is paying out up to 57th place so you have a reasonable chance of winning. The full prize list is below.

At the time of writing there are 1553 entrants and less than 100 of them are in the green (making a profit). Everyone else is making a loss so it will be less of a stock trading competition and more of a stock picking one. You have $1000 of imaginary money to trade with on all the coins that are available on Binance so good luck. I just entered and am immediately at 161.
But what exactly is Splinterlands I hear you yelling. It's a card trading game, like Magic, but on the blockchain, so errr really more like Steem Monsters. For some people that don't play these things that isn't really going to be a lot of help so I recommend you head over to @Dexspartacus 's blog as he has written quite a few posts on Splinterlands. His other posts are worth reading too (more so in fact) as there are some really impressive photos of different parts of Italy ...... make sure you follow him.
Some of you will be thinking "nope I don't do these games so I don't want to win these cards. Can't be assed entering." Now I don't play these games either but like everything in the crypto-world it will probably sellable/tradable. Being the huxter/flim-flam artist that I am I will be entering both to win - thus showcasing my devinely-inspired stock picking abilities - (In the pre-life I joined the queue for pixies but got put in the wrong womb) and to sell on when I win (cough). If I can do it then you can too ...but form an orderly line behind please :)
