Hello Publish0x Friends,
Today music is a Samba Pa Ti live version from Montreux 2011 by Santana.
Two particular events moved me to play guitar from playing saxophone.
- When I was 11 years old, I use to catch FM radios by night with a radio cassette that had been offered to me. I was listening Radio Channels from the entire world late at night with headphone. And, one night I plugged on a channel with a live concert by Carlos Santana. I doesn't knew him at this moment. I was immediately fascinated and captured by how he could express emotions through guitar notes. I thought: "Hey, this guy talks to me with his guitar!".
- When I was 14 years old a friend gifted me a vinyl by Jimi Hendrix: "Hendrix In The West". And there it was also a huge slap. How could this guy play as two guitarists on his own? How is doing it? And what energy, what intensity in the sound. Pure emotions.
"I want to play music like that"..
My favorite version is the original one from "Abraxas" , Santana's second album released in september 1970. But this live one is very good.
Carlos "Devadip" Santana.
