So my wife and I had a Christmas party 3 weeks ago and we had decided to serve Jell-O shots as one of the festive drinking activities. This is all well and good and a lot of people enjoyed them (especially because they were themed and we tried to stack them to be a tree) but we made far too many...
Today I stumbled back upon them in my fridge and decided to take the tray out and see how Jell-O stands the test of time. It's only like 3 ingredients, surely nothing back can happen in 3 weeks? The look and smell of them seemed alright. And the cups didn't seem gross at all. So why not? I took one out and gave it my best shot.
Have you even tried to chew leather? That's what the consistency of these things had become. The whole chunk feel from the little cup into my out with a thud and so I tried to chomp down and could barely break the surface. Even more of the problem was that it still tasted great but I couldn't get past the texture.
I prompted threw the whole tray away and sat back to think about my choices. I'm not entirely sure why I thought it would be a good idea to try them and why it would be a good idea to take shots at 8pm on a Monday night in the first place.
