For those of us in the US, the markets are closed in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. A perfectly good reason to close the markets and reflect upon many different subjects and situations that are still going on within the US today.
Because of this, however, I have not been able to watch the market or do any analytical digging into stocks and dividends like I normally do on my weekday mornings. But have no fear! Because my brain still likes to turn and produce content and thought provoking content.
It's a Monday, and that means it is the start of a new week. Specifically so, this start of the week does not have the usual market distraction so I am lot more focused on (probably) more important things.
I really want to focus on creating more captivating content and gone my skills of publishing good articles and posts. I want to do this either through making posts that get people thinking and responding or that inform and educate people.
Today, I plan to find motivation and find something to do around that house that I have been putting off for a long time. I have a personal finance book that I have been neglecting to finish for a few months now, and it has just been staring at me on my kitchen counter, waiting to be read and finished. I think that I will try to pick it up today and finish it off once and for all.
It's a book about retirement and how to best make use of transferring wealth as you get older in age to help ease your tax burden later in life. A lot of people cringe when they hear that I read books like this but personally I REALLY and genuinely enjoy them. Although, it may not seem like it because I struggle to finish books, this is just because I get easily distracted with other things. But in general, when I find time to sit down and focus on a book without interruption I really enjoy it.
Hopefully when I am done reading this book I can provide a nice review post and share my insights and take aways with my audience. I know that the book is specifically for US citizens and right now a majority of Publish0x is from South America, but it still might be an interesting read for those that aren't familiar with how the retirement and tax system completely works in the US.
So there you have it. My plan to stay motivated for the day. It's a brand new Monday and it's time to get stuff done!
What do you guys plan on tackling today? Where are you planning on putting your energies today/this week?
