I have been following Dash price behavior recently and also accumulating the assets. Some friends have asked me why is Dash not following Zcash? Zcash is currently trading within the $1,500 price territory, and Dash is still struggling around the $59 and $60 price territory.
It is kind of funny when people try to compare Dash and Zcash together just because they both get thrown into the privacy coin category. Honestly, they play in a completely different ballgames. Zcash caught an insane wave of speculative momentum and heavy capital inflows, while Dash has just been quietly hanging out, spending forever building a tight base.
Plus, market sector rotation can be brutal money always chases whatever asset has the loudest hype at the moment, temporarily leaving solid coins sitting completely flat in their ranges. On top of that, Dash has had to chew through a massive wall of old historical overhead resistance. When a coin has been stuck under heavy supply for years, it needs a serious volume spike just to clear out the sellers before a real breakout can happen.
Even with the slow price action, patience is everything when you are stacking for the long haul. I have 100 units of Dash coin that I have been accumulating for a while now, with a target of selling at $230 price levels. But here is Dash struggling to even surpass the $60 price territory. So, because that, I might spread my selling price target across $70, $80, $90 until that $230 since I am already in profits.
But I'm completely bullish on Dash. I mean, looking at the market chart, there is a probability that price will be heading back to 200$ price territory as long has the price stays above 40 to 50$ price levels. Well, untill then, bye for now.
