Coinbase Plans to Delist XRP in January

By Diviner | SimplyJustCrypto | 29 Dec 2020

Days after the SEC announced its lawsuit against XRP, Coinbase has announced that it will delist the popular cryptocurrency in January. Coinbase said that XRP trading will transition to limit-only beginning immediately on December 28 and will suspend fully on January 19 at 10 AM Pacific. The suspension will not affect the firm's clients' ability to access wallets with XRP.

The recent announcement has already led to another crash in XRP's price, moving it down 17%.

Given Coinbase's high-profile status in the crypto community, expect many more exchanges to delist XRP along with other companies to liquidate their positions.
