Let's Simplify Things! Apple iOS or Google Android?

By DrYunani | Simplify | 17 Aug 2020

A warm welcome to another Let’s Simplify Things! post!

Today let us move on another direction and let us simplify mobile phones operating systems.

Of course, there are more than Apple iOS and Google Android out there, but let’s be honest with ourselves if one of us is going to go to buy a mobile phone today 99.9% he/she will end with one of those two!

So, which one should you go for?

Well... more or less for the average user it will not make a big difference.

Yes, yes , I know they are hardcore fans for either of them and they will argue the pros and cons for each and blah blah blah but trust me on this, in normal daily usage you will not find a real big difference whatsoever!

Any differences you might notice will be from the hardware not the software!

And for the record I do have both.

So, you will ask which way should I go for?

Well there are a few points that will determine your choice, let us have a look.

Staring with Apple iOS you would choose it most probably for the image/status it has as the luxury one.

You could also choose it if you have friends and family members that prefer to use FaceTime and Find my Friends ( good to also know where are your children for example, but there also similar apps in Android ).

Or because you are used to it and It is easier for you to setup your new device with all the apps and settings from your older one.

Finally, being a more protected and close operating system, it has some security advantages as well.

Now for Google Android, you will for starters find it installed in a much wider selection of manufacturers and as a consequence the number models available is by far a lot more.

Devices with Google Android tend to be much cheaper, although lately the high-end ones are getting close to the price of Apple devices.

You will also find out that manufacturers of mobile devices using Google Android tend to create their own versions of it ( being an open operating system it gives them that possibility but it also has some extra security issues compared to Apple iOS).

Nowadays it is hard to find an app that is not available to both operating systems so that is no issue nor is the ease of use, as they have kind of have copied the best of each other’s helping shortcuts and features.

So to simplify it you choose Apple iOS for having the luxury one and FaceTime, you choose Google Android as it has the same features at a lower cost ( unless you go for the top range devices which even them tend to be a bit cheaper) .

The choice is yours.

Finally before saying goodbye I want to let everyone know that I have no sponsors, this post is not sponsored by neither Apple or Google!

The above reflect my personal views and by no means should be taken as a recommendation to use or not use any service or equipment whatsoever!

Please feel free to make any suggestions or comments especially on what you would like to see next being simplified!

Until the next post....

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
