Let’s Simplify Things! Horizen! And where to get free ZEN!

By DrYunani | Simplify | 13 Sep 2020

A warm welcome to another Let’s Simplify Things! post!

In this post let us have a look at Horizen and how you can get free ZEN.

The history of Horizen is an interesting one, as it has started as a fork of ZClassic and has been through various changes.

ZEN was created on the 23rd of May 2017 with a 1:1 ratio to ZCL.

For that reason an ICO was never held.

Initially it was named ZenCash but after about a year the team decided to rebrand it as Horizen and at the same time implement various upgrades.

They have keep upgrading it and working on it until now.

I will not get into technical details, as one can easily go to their website and read all about it.

At the time being the two more interesting, at my opinion, projects they are running are ZenPub and ZenChat.

ZenPub allows publishers to privately publish their documents. It is focused mainly on journalists that are afraid to publish publicly their work.

ZenChat as the name suggests offers encrypted messaging.

Note that they also offer the ability to have sidechains and there is quite a buzz around it, with many commits to it.

So, expect to see a number of connect projects coming out soon.

For me though the thing that attracted me the most to the project is the strong community they have managed to create.

As we all know, having a strong community is a vital ingredient to have a successful project in the crypto world and for me a key indicator to the potential of project.

They have their own wallet, named Sphere, where you can store their coin ZEN.

They also have their own faucet that runs with the same concept as PipeFlare and there you can get a decent amount of ZEN ( for faucet standards ) if you are consistent in visiting every day.

Oh and don’t forget to use the Brave browser it gives you an extra 20% of ZEN!

You can read my post about PipeFlare by clicking here.

To simplify it, Horizen is another privacy focused project that has managed to distinguish itself by bringing a more holistic approach to privacy.

They simply managed to do so by offering a whole set of tools that makes its adoption easier.

So, go ahead and have a look at the project and why not earn some free ZEN.

Please if you decide to do so, I would be grateful if you used my referral link.

Finally, before saying goodbye, I want to let everyone know that I have no sponsors, this post is not sponsored by Horizen, nor PipeFlare, nor Brave, nor anyone else whatsoever!

You will only find my personal invitation links to HorizenBrave and PipeFlare which I'm grateful and I highly appreciate it if you use them!

The above reflect my personal views and by no means should be taken as a recommendation to use or not use any service or equipment whatsoever!

Please feel free to make any suggestions or comments especially on what you would like to see next being simplified!

Until the next post....

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
