Facebook censors the hashtag #Bitcoin

Turns and moves Facebook and censors cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin on its platform.

The company has already openly declared restrictions with hashtags on subjects related to cryptography on its page.

It has also censored text messages, and banned advertisements and advertisements from industry companies and cryptographic protocols.

Now it has censored searches for #Bitcoin again.

If the user searches for the hashtag #bitcoin he will not find anything on the page.

In some countries the page shows that #bitcoin is temporarily hidden, claiming that some content goes against community standards.

Facebook has a confused stance when it comes to cryptocurrencies, blockchains and the like.

Despite eventually curbing its users of crypto-related products, Facebook is currently going through the biggest legislative saga trying to launch its stablecoin, Libra.
