With $100 I can buy basic food only. To rent a small flat with one room you need around IDR 500,000 or $35. If you are a person only, you will spend day eating around IDR 50,000 or $3,5. If you have 30 days, you will spend for eating $3,5 X 30 = $105.
2. MANY INDONESIAN EARN LESS THAN $100 A MONTH
This is a fact that some Indonesian live under poverty line. They earn less than $100 a month. Some others are above $100 but under $200. For employees in company, they can enjoy the basic salary wages around $240. With that money, if one is a single, $240 is enough. They still have spare cash for saving. In fact, some family depend on one bread winner who earn for living. Most of family here, the father goes to work and mother takes care of the child. if a family there are 2 children , a mom and a father, $240 a month is only for basic needs.

A littre of rice is about $0.9 It depnds on the quality of rice. A family with 4 members can eat up 30 littres / montht. It is rice only for $33. No meat, egg, vegetables and other food to eat with rice. Family with four members will ideally spend about $150. The nutrition is enough for kids. Those spending not include milk for kids. A kilo of chicken meat is around $1.9.
4. Additional income
A husband that earn less than $100 from the main job, usually has additional income from random works. Sometimes, he sells some products and works part time. For unemployed man, he becomes sellers. Some street sellers sometimes earn higher than employees in factories that pay under the minimum wages. yeah, though the regulation , company should pay the minimum wages, some small businesses can not afford to pay the employees with those amount of money so they pay the employees under the minimum wages. It is around $100 to $200.
