Introduction

Etherum was invented in the year 2014 and it was Etherum which brought the idea of smart contract, dapps to the Blockchain innovation and the utilization of blockchain innovation scaled further statures and the range of use-case of blockchain technology got wider & extended.

In the course of last 5 years, Etehrum family has evolved into a big ecosystem of dapps with a large number of tokens and dapps. Each dapp has its particular use-case. Be that as it may, inside the Etherum family, sending/receiving ETH or ERC20 based tokens is one of the most frequent use-case and presumably it is a nonexclusive use-case for all users.

For bounty managers, event organizers, distribution of airdrops-- where tokens are sent to various users, sending to the individual ETH addresses  separately is a tedious and time consuming task. Hence a superior arrangement is required with the goal that the sending to different addresses should be possible in a single click, should be merged into a single transaction which can save both transaction fees and time. With an aim to facilitate that objective, gives rise to the introduction of Multisend, a dapp on the top of Etherum blockchain.

Brief Overview of Multisend

Multisend is a dapp on the top of ETherum blockchain, which enables users to send/distribute ETH/ERC20 tokens to numerous addresses(up to 100 addresses) in one go. The users can include various addresses and put the amount for each of the addresses and then send it in one go. It is a useful application for bounty managers, event managers who usually deal with sending and distributing bounties/prizes to a number of users.

Getting started with Multisend

  • Go to https://multisend.co
  • Click on "Start Sending".
  • Then it will ask you to connect to Metamask. Click on "Connect".
  • Now in Metamask, enter your password and click on "Login".
  • Then it will ask you to authorize the access to connect to your address. So in order to authorize click on "Connect".
  • Now you can send ETH or ERC20 tokens. For sending ETH select "Send Ether" and for tokens select "Send Tokens". Type the address in the relevant box, put the amount, then click on "Add". You can add as many addresses you want(upto 100 addresses) and send them in one go.
  • You can also import addresses with Google sheet URL, for that click on "Import".

Advantages

  • For bounty managers, airdrops and for managing sending of ETH & ERC20 tokens to a number of users, it is a useful option.
  • It can save a lot of time.
  • The distribution of tokens can be done in a quickest possible time.
  • Simple & easy to understand for an average user.
  • Free to use.
  • It can save a lot of transaction fee, as the user needs to pay a single transaction fee, yet can send to multiple addresses.

Disadvantages

  • Only available in Etherum family.
  • Needs additional security features.

Overall Assessment

I really like the simple user interface of Multisend. That is the biggest plus point of this dapp. Generally, the users spend some time to understand a new dapp they come across. But Multisend is so simple that even an average person can understand it without having to spend much time on it. I think sending to multiple addresses is a very common use-case and this dapp has a real use on a daily basis. The sending process is also quite easy and can be executed in a single page. This simplicity is more appealing for the general users. The bounty managers can organize bounties and airdrops in a more organized way with Multisend.

Conclusion

In Etehrum ecosystem, the sending of ETH & ERC20 tokens are very frequent as Etherum ecosystem is really big with so many different types of dapps and ERC20 tokens. Further, sending to multiple addresses is a frequent use case. Multisend has really made the task of people very easy & simple when it comes to sending to multiple addresses. Using Multisend is so simple that it can be understood by every type of users.
