Why Litecoin & Monero Have Stood The Test Of Time
Litecoin is one of those crypto assets that most investors or crypto enthusiasts have held at some time. It's an asset that has stood the test of time, surviving multiple bear markets and remaining within the Top 30. It reminds me of Monero, another older cryptocurrency that I believe has a bright future despite regulatory issues. In fact, regulatory pressure has done the opposite of what one would expect.
Before Binance delisted XMR, it was ranked number 36 according to market cap. In 2026, after numerous delistings from centralized exchanges, XMR is ranked number 16 according to market cap. Bitcoin has always been considered an antifragile asset. However, XMR is perhaps even more so thanks to its privacy features and inherent market behavior.

Both these assets have survived and continue to thrive. Litecoin's daily transaction volume and trading volume are both exceptionally high. Unlike many altcoins, there is a lot of activity on-chain and on exchanges. Regarding payments, outside of stablecoins, LTC is one of the most utilized cryptocurrencies. These two assets are both exceptions to the rule regarding dwindling adoption.
The Altcoin Game Has Changed: Most Investors Haven't Noticed
In previous bear markets, coins that were heavily discounted were often the ones to accumulate. The reasoning was that because they were overly punished by the market, the market would reward them during a bullish phase. This is no longer the case. Yes, many heavily discounted projects such as Polkadot and others are likely to rally in the future. However, what you want to look for now has changed.

You want to identify coins that, even though their valuations are down in a bear market, the overall trend and trajectory of the asset is up. XMR is an excellent example of this dynamic. As you can see in the graph above, XMR is well set in an upward long-term trend despite the current market. These are the assets that have established themselves and are likely to grow even further.
When much of the altcoin market dies, capital will rotate into coins that have this dynamic playing out. The market has not realized this yet. However, to some extent it has because projects like XMR are moving up the ranks. However, the smart move is to identify altcoins with a similar trend and trajectory as Monero.
The Best Places To Earn Free Litecoin (LTC) & Monero (XMR)
I recently updated a post about the best places to accumulate Litecoin in 2026. Furthermore, Cointiply is one of your best bets, and as I wrote a week ago, earnings are a lot better on the platform than I had thought. In that particular post, I recorded my earnings for 7 days, and the results were much higher than I had anticipated. When it comes to earning XMR, Fire Faucet is one of the best solutions.
My Earn Free Crypto page on sapphirecrypto.org also highlights multiple faucets and platforms that pay out in LTC and XMR. It is also important to note that any platform that supports FaucetPay qualifies, as you can convert assets within the platfrom/wallet to both LTC and XMR.
Final Thoughts
These two assets stand a good chance of not only being around in a decade but also appreciating significantly in value as much of the altcoin market fades away. The important thing to remember is that this will trigger capital rotation on a large scale into projects that are solid, established, and have strong user demand. I believe LTC and XMR will be amongst them. All the best! See you next time.
