Binance.US is a Cunning Company
Binance has always been famous for having extremely low trading fees, but there's no fee lower than zero.
So when reports that Binance.US eliminated trading fees for BTC the crypto community welcomed this development as joyous news.
However, if your investment strategy expands beyond the boundaries of a single exchange, Binance might not be the best place to buy your BTC.
My BTC Strategy
I buy my BTC on Kraken and then launch it over to Hodlnaut where my BTC deposits earn a 5.3% yield.
Why Kraken and not Binance.US?
Easy: the draconian disparity between their withdrawal fees.
Kraken's withdrawal fee is practically non-existent: 0.00001 BTC (~$0.20)

Binance.US's BTC withdrawal fee is 50x higher than Kraken's! 0.0005 BTC (~$10)

Trading Fees in Context
Kraken Pro traders who transact less than $50k per month (like myself) pay a 0.26% fee per trade, significantly better than Coinbase's 0.40% fee.
Although 0.26% is technically infinitely higher than 0% (because all positive integers are infinitely higher than 0), let's look at the numbers in more practical terms:
In order to get $200 through Kraken into BTC and onto Hodlnaut, I only have to pay a $0.52 trading fee, followed by a $0.20 withdrawal fee. That's just $0.72 to get $200 of BTC into Hodlnaut where it instantly starts earning a 5.3% APY.
For Binance.US to become more cost-effective than Kraken as an on-ramp to Hodlnaut, each BTC withdrawal would have to be worth at least ~$4,000. Personally, I'd prefer to start earning 5.3% interest at Hodlnaut sooner and not have to wait to send out large withdrawals from Binance where my BTC earns 0% interest.
Why Binance.US is Still My Favorite: The Gateway to BSC
When it comes to the brilliant, beautiful Binance Smart Chain (BSC), no custodian can compete with Binance's 0% withdrawal fee for BUSD. The reasons for this "discount" should be fairly obvious.
Binance Coin (BNB) is endlessly superior to Ethereum (ETH) for DeFi transactions in terms of expense and speed. The Binance Smart Chain (BSC) is the most popular blockchain in the world for good reasons.
Also, now that I can earn a 6.4% yield for staking BNB in-house, Binance.US is officially my favorite centralized exchange.
Bottom Line
Though I'll likely utilize Binance to trade a bit of BTC, I'll continue to use Binance.US primarily to buy, send, and stake BNB.
