Rumour: $Pepe to be the first memecoin to enter Japan!

By 0xjenka.base.eth | Rumour: | 31 Oct 2024

BITPoint Japan is a licensed cryptocurrency exchange based in Tokyo, Japan.  BITPoint was founded in 2016 and operates a digital asset trading platform, which include Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether, and XRP.  Joining those ranks now will be PEPE, the meme cryptocurrency that is based on the 'Pepe the frog' internet meme.  PEPE will be available for Spot trading, lending, and fixed investment on the exchange.

The listing marks a significant milestone for PEPE and meme coins in general as Japan is known for it's stringent regulations on cryptocurrencies, making PEPE's entry a notable achievement.  The PEPE listing, while giving traders in Japan a new opportunity to engage in popular memecoin trading also demonstrates the growing acceptance of meme-based cryptocurrencies, and may pave the way for more memecoins to be listed in the future.

While obviously this means more liquidity for $PEPE holders in the future and more liquidity is always a good thing, please be wary of the 'buy the rumour, sell the news' that follows all these types of announcements.
