With many folks making New Year's resolutions to eat healthier or lose weight or some similar type or diet-related goal, I thought it would be more than appropriate to list my five favorite flavors of Utz potato chips. Perhaps it's my regional bias, perhaps it's the iconic "Utz Girl" logo but I've always been partial to the Utz brand. And so, without further ado, here are my five favorite varieties from the Hanover, PA snack company:
5. Honey Barbeque - A delicious blend of sweet and spice, these chips pair well with a sandwich or burger. One of the most unique barbeque flavors I've had: not overwhelmingly sweet and a great smokey flavor. To me, it tops the traditional BBQ flavor.

4. Grandma Utz Kettle Style Chips - Thicker, crunchier, and a tad saltier, the Grandma Utz Kettles are a fine break from the traditional chips. I prefer these as a snack on their own. I love the different kind of bag they come in too; it feels more like a paper bag.

3. The Crab Chips - A unique blend of Chesapeake seasoning, these pack a wallop. Just like at a real crab feast too, you will need a few napkins when enjoying these.
2. Original - Sometimes, you just have to keep it simple. Perfectly salted, while still retaining the original potato flavor. No nonsense, just delicious. Nothing else really need be said.
1. Salt & Vinegar - This my favorite variety of Utz chips by leaps and bounds. Other brand just don't compare; I think it's that Utz has nailed down the vinegar flavor perfectly.

So, apologies if you're trying to start 2022 off on a health kick! Just remember, as with anything, the key is moderation.
Happy New Year!
