Banners, Banners Everywhere!

If you haven't seen the name Tamadoge while browsing Publish0x lately, then you must have very selective sight. The banner ads for the self-proclaimed "ultimate memecoin Play-to-Earn platform" have been splashed all over the website. This one in particular caught my eye:

Now I'm not one to take financial advice from banner advertisements, but that sounds like a hell of a return! Let's see; if you invest $1,000 in Tamadoge you'll have $100,000 according to this proclamation made by this snazzy looking 8-bit Shiba Inu. Not too shabby! Hey, it could happen.

Fortunately, I'm not lured in by the promise of lofty returns and cool retro graphics. Well actually, as a Nintendo and Sega kid of the early 90's, that's a bit of a lie. The aesthetics got me; I'm looking further into this token.

Seemingly Gaining Steam

Tamadoge has been drawing a fair amount of buzz in the crypto world. As soon as you visit https://tamadoge.io/ you are hit with the fact that the $2M beta sale has already sold out! But upon further investigation of the Tamadoge Twitter page reveals that the project has already raised over $5 million.

It appears that the pre-sale will actually cap out at $6.5 million. The pre-sale is ongoing and will for another 13 days, ending September 1. As an incentive to gain hodlers, the developers are offering a $100k giveaway. There are details on the giveaway available on the gleam.io host page page but here's the skinny to enter:

The Project Itself

Tamadoge is actually pretty intriguing itself, as it combines several elements that have been popularized over the past two years: metaverse, NFT, meme coin, earn to play, and blockchain gaming. At the heart of the project are Tamadoge pets. Think Tamagotchi! These are digital pets that you have to tend to, just like your real cat or dog. Each one is minted and can be traded as an NFT, starting with completely random stats that increase with experience. Each one has its own strengths and weaknesses. They need to be fed, watered, played with & you watch your pet grow over time. As each Tamadoge pet gets older, you will be able to battle it with other players, in a turned-based battling system. Think Pokemon!

Tamadoge pet owners will all be united in the Tamaverse, a metaverse where everyone can interact in a virtual dog park. As the white paper states, "Tamadoge is the token of the people, and we’re keen to let the token holders shape the direction we take."
