Solana Shitcoin Highlight: Useless Coin

Solana Shitcoin Highlight: Useless Coin

Hello fellow P0x'ers and good day. Today, as part of my shitcoin series, we will be taking a look at a Solana-based meme coin aka shitcoin. "What exactly is a shitcoin?" you may be asking yourself. A fine question, indeed. A shitcoin is a digital token with no real fundamental value that lacks any kind of technological innovation or real-world utility. They're often created out of irony, or to capitalize on hype. They are typically highly volatile and subject to crash or "rug pull" at any moment.

So why even waste time on something like this? They can be fun to trade, like baseball cards or POGS or action figures back in the day. I personally think of them as digital collectibles. For diehards that swear they are functional and serve a purpse, shitcoins may also be referred to as altcoins. At any rate, let's kick this article off...

USELESS COIN was launched a year ago, in May 2025, and marketed itself proudly as a shitcoin -- it's all in the name after all...USELESS! The creators of the coin cut right to the chase: they didn't make any promises about proposed real-world utility or create a complex roadmap.

Max Supply: One billion (1,000,000,000) $USELESS coins

100% of the supply is in circulation

The developers sought to make it the first "no bullshit" shitcoin, ironically bringing innovation to shitcoins:

Straight from the USELESS website:

"To create the world's most honest cryptocurrency by being completely useless and proud of it. No roadmaps to nowhere, no whitepapers full of buzzwords, just pure, unadulterated uselessness."

One year later, and $USELESS is still trading. Over the past month, it has seen a surge of over 100% -- possibly fueled by the resurgence of several other altcoins. Some may even call it shitcoin season.

There appears to be short-term consolidation happening, leaning toward a bullish outlook. While the RSI sits at a neutral level (53.9 on the daily), the current price of $0.0764 is above both the 20 day and 50 day moving averages, which are $0.059 and $0.058, respectively. The recent daily volumes spikes in excess in $10 million indicate heavy trading participation. A big price move on big volume generally indicates a continued move higher. The price resistance zone to watch is $0.075-0.086, while the support zone to watch is $0.065-0.07

Trading shitcoins is about the riskiest move any crypto trader can engage in. If $USELESS fails to hold its $0.065 support level, it will fall below the 20 and 50 day moving averages and will quickly turn from bullish to bearish. It's best to constantly monitor the price chart if one is to engage in trading of $USELESS.

At your own risk, as they say. That's my current take on $USELESS, as it has reached its 1 year anniversary of its launch.
