DESTINATION: Mister Ed's Elephant Museum & Candy Emporium

Quirky, zany, whimsical,  wondrous. These are just a few words that can describe the legendary Mister Ed's Elephant Museum & Candy Emporium. It's wild to think about but in this case, the candy does indeed play second fiddle to the museum. Directly off of Pennsylvania Route 30 in the town of Orrtanna lies this unique destination. This place is packed with so much candy, it can make even an adult feel like a kid in a candy store.f457171df12f6df47ad4a86f3254f53aec75ea8a2079b200d47afbe8b0279d14.jpg

if that's not enough, how about the wide array of elephant merchandise in the museum? If a picture is worth a thousand words, the massive collection is worth millions. You can spend as much in here as the candy shop.

Even outside the shop is a garden path to stroll full of whimsical displays. Bigfoot can even be spotted if you look close enough!

Mister Ed himself passed away in 2021 but his family and friends continue to operate the destination he created. The visit to the museum is free. Roadside attractions are a unique breed. They are definitely hit or miss. But Mister Ed's is a most enjoyable visit, with everything worth seeing inside.
