I have proof.
Let’s call my proof Jonathan.
Jonathan is a typical guy, who had no education in economics, was brought up in a middle-class family and dreams of having more and is envious of people who have more.
Jonathan is my friend. A pretty cool guy actually, that never invested in cryptocurrency.
He does have a weird habit though. Not really a habit, it is more like a gift.
He contacts me every couple of months about crypto. It all began in 2017, when I didn’t even own any crypto. Back then, he was explaining to me about this magic internet money, that he wants to buy, but didn’t know how to. After the crash, he was saying: “Thank God I didn’t buy into that mess”.
Back then I just was doing my stocks journey and only got into crypto. I was buying extremely carefully, with perhaps 50 dollars a month.
Here comes Covid-19 and my friend Jonathan finds out that I have started investing in crypto, and he finds it extremely amusing. Calls me an idiot. Back then I felt so as well, but it was a first glimpse of what a genius Jonathan is.
Months pass, crypto starts going up, and Jonathan never mentions crypto. Then comes an all-time high and Jonathan asks me where to buy BTC. I explain and warn him not to buy now.
Comes the famous May crash 2021 and my Johnny calls me and asks me if I need to borrow any money, or if I found a job at McDonald's – you know classical jokes when crypto goes down.
Here I already knew that Jonathan is a prophet. I bought into that May dip and it reversed. Comes another all-time high, and we go through the same thing again – where to buy, how much to buy, how high it will go.
Oh, Johnny!
Comes on November 17th 2022.
Johnny: “Sup Dude. How are you doing?”
Me: “I’m fine, man, how are you?”
Johnny: “Oh I’m cool bro, just curious how much you lost?”
Me: “Just how much I was able to afford. You want to buy some?”
Johnny: “Crypto is fake, dude. Want to meet for a beer?”
Me: “Yeah, sounds great, but you are paying.”
Johnny: “Ha-ha, I know you are poor. Sure. Tomorrow….”
Oh, Johnny, thank you for buying that beer. Because that is extra 10 dollars going into crypto.
