WavesCoin and Waves Exchange

WavesCoin and Waves Exchange

By theatdhe | Reviews! | 19 Dec 2020

The WavesDEX is a decentralized cryptocurrency exchanger built on the waves open source blockchain stage. Waves was created in 2016 by Sasha Ivanov and has since become the only working decentralized exchange built on blockchain technology.

Is it regulated?

WavesDEX is not a regulated exchange and since WavesDEX is a decentralized exchange operating on the Waves blockchain this exchange is very unlikely to be regulated, at least for the moment!

Is it trustworthy?

So far WavesDEX has been a reliable exchange for trading cryptocurrencies, a trader funds are considered to be safe because funds are held in personal wallets rather on the exchange database. Also platform works very smoothly, but keep in mind there are a lot of coins created by traders which names are close to the cryptos that we are used to, thus you can exchange your valuable ones with so called "shitcoins" that are worthless.

Trading Platform!

A few years ago their exchanger was like a extension called Waves, now they have their application called WavesExchange which is available for Pc and also mobiles (IOS and Android).

Anyone can create an account with Waves and stay completely anonymous while participating in peer to peer trading. The platform interface is very well designed and looks similar to industry leading exchanges.

Also you recover your account only by the seed so keep it safe!

Commissions and Spreads

WavesDEX offers very low transaction fees and low latency, what I like the most is the FEETOKENS which you can use also to cover the withdraw/deposit and trade fees. There is only a very small fixed commission on each order, unlike variable commissions and spreads like on most other cryptocurrency exchanges.

Deposits and Withdrawals

All funds are stored in the user's wallet at all times until a trade is made, this means that the funds are way much safe than they  would have been on a centralized crypto exchange! Waves accepts deposits and withdrawals of a considerable amount of different cryptos and tokens and not just the Waves coin. You can also deposit fiat through gateways of payment operators.

What do I love about Waves?

You can stake your Wave coins in this platform and the interest is varied from the pool but it goes as high as 4.1% a day and that is lovely. Their coin is pretty nice valued they have a market cap of  $805,669,836 and 24H volume is $83,014,213 USD for the moment a coin holds the price of 7.76 USD.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Low and competitive fees
  • Decentralized exchange running on blockchain technology
  • Various digital assets to trade
  • User-friendly

Cons:

  • No fiat currency withdrawals
  • Low liquidity
  • Still in early stages of development
