🔥 Dollar Cost Averaging with Bitcoin - Episode #2

By resiliencia | resiliencia | 6 Dec 2020

Hello!

Last week I wrote this post explaining the new Dollar Cost Average challenge I was starting with my friend @empoderat. Today I am posting an update, I will be tracking all the progress.

The Plan

The plan is to make 100$-200$ purchases every weekend and keep stacking sats for the long term. This sats are not going to be spent, I am making a full commit on this.

The progress so far

I have been buying 200€ (euros not dollars) for two consecutives weeks. Eventhough now it is not the best time to be buying Bitcoin (we are trading at ATH) I still believe this strategy is the best approach if you want to HODL Bitcoin long term.

My goal is to not skip a single week, and keep buying through all the spikes and dips.

I have been really lazy and I didn't check the cheapest way to buy Bitcoin right now. I ended up paying a 1,5% fee for each purchase. I should change the buy method for next week.

The results

I am keeping an Excel sheet with all the details.
Here the actual results:

I am -1,43% down that would have been avoided if I managed to find a cheaper way to buy BTC with credit card. I will make some research for next week. I was buying crypto with 0 fees in the crypto.com app but the promotion finished.

Keep stacking! 😊
