Hello!
There is a lot of debate about which will be the best store value asset in the future. Some argue that it will continue to be gold, because it has been for many years, others believe that it will be Bitcoin, the so-called digital gold since it can be transferred very easily and without the need for intermediaries.
In these days of crisis due to Covid-19 also known as Coronavirus, many countries have started printing huge amounts of money. The possibility of hyperinflation and loss of purchasing power has sparked many people's curiosity about safe-haven assets. Among them, there is Bitcoin, but what has been the evolution of the price of these 2 assets in recent years?
I have found a great chart made byΒ @100trillionUSDΒ that shows perfectly the evolution of both prices since 2009, almost the inception of Bitcoin.
In the chart there is a Stock 2 flow line in blue, and in red you can see the price.
The actual price of Bitcoin following this model suggest that the Bitcoin price should raise shorly or that the price of gold should go down really soon.
I wouldn't bet that the price of gold will go lower at all, the governments are keeping the rate of printing new money really high and it will translate on more people investing in this asset.
I am still expecting the price of Bitcoin to go a litte lower to buy and HODL whole Bitcoin. It has been one of my goals since 2017 and if this happens I will be extremely happy. This journey is going to be really exciting.
What do you guys think?
Enjoy! π
